For the first time in its history, Wargaming’s ads were up in lights at Super Bowl. Two explosive 15-second TV spots for the company’s free-to-play megahit World of Tanks rolled out in front of 111.3 million people across the USA, kicking off 2017 with a bang.
“Being part of the year's biggest sporting event in America is a truly awesome way to start 2017,” said Juuso Myllyrinne, Head of Global Marketing and PR, Wargaming. “Having World of Tanks on the big screen during the game was a great way for us to connect with fans and newcomers alike. Showmanship, skill, and teamwork are elements that both American football and Wargaming share, so it was the perfect match in our eyes.”
The ads were produced by Wargaming’s office in San Francisco, together with Mekanism, an award-winning marketing and advertising agency, who are no strangers to blockbuster ads.
