World of Warships Charts a Course for Official Release

Captains will officially be able to take their quest for naval supremacy to the high seas when World of Warships launches on September 17. First, Wargaming dominated the land with genre-defining World of Tanks; World of Warplanes turned up on the radar and conquered the skies; now World of Warships delivers hotly-anticipated seafaring combat to players everywhere.

Four distinct classes of warships from battleships, cruisers, destroyers and aircraft carriers will be ready for players to command. Some of history’s most iconic vessels bolster this impressive fleet, such as fearsome battleship Yamato and aircraft carrier Midway. Two full Tech Trees from the U.S. and Japan are available at launch, letting captains choose and refine their playstyle. Several other famous vessels also hit the waters, sailing from the U.K, Germany, and the U.S.S.R, including Warspite, Tirpitz, and Aurora, respectively. In total, there are over 80 historical vessels just waiting for players to seize the helm, with even more nations on their way this year.

Assemble at your Action Stations and get ready to fly the flag in epic World of Warships battles.
