World of Tanks on Xbox One Beta Weekend On the Way

Console tankers on Xbox One will be able to get their first taste of combat with the World of Tanks on Xbox One Beta Weekend, starting from July 1112. Not only will you be able to access World of Tanks the moment the Beta Weekend is available, but you can also get your hands on a free, exclusive tank for simply being involved.

Players who download the game prior to its release on July 28 will receive a free tank on launch: the rapid Premium American Tier 3 M22 Locust light tank. But what if you already have the tank? Then how about 180,000 in silver, as well as one garage slot? We’ll also be giving players extra experience during the Beta Weekend. Between the hours of 11:00 to 14:00 PST on July 1112, all players will receive a 2x XP bonus on all battles, as well as a 2x Battle Operation to be used later. That should make it a little easier to grind your way through the Tech Tree and put those higher tier vehicles to the test.

Also, let’s not forget how harnessing the power of the Xbox One means that the console version of World of Tanks will never have looked so good. You’ll see all of your favorite vehicles painstakingly recreated in glorious high-definition, pushing the hardware to its limits.

World of Tanks on Xbox One will also be featuring a number of firsts. If you’re not already aware of our shiny new features, cross-platform play will allow you to battle it out with tankers on Xbox 360, bridging battles across both generations. You can seamlessly share your progress and social content between platforms through a single Xbox Live account, take advantage of an all-new “Proving Grounds” Player versus Environment (PvE) mode, plus full social and streaming support offered by the Xbox One platform, and much more!

World of Tanks on Xbox One will be available as a free download for all Xbox Live Gold members*, and can also be experienced through a free seven-day trial for all other Xbox Live account holders.
