Wargaming Minsk is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Technical Documentation team in Minsk, Belarus.

The successful candidate will become a part of a creative and innovative team, which can explain how to use any complicated piece of technology. You will be working in a challenging, exciting, and constantly evolving environment, teaming up with Development & Publishing Teams to create and maintain user guides, how-to manuals and recipe books, integration guides, configuration and deployment guides, API manuals. 

What will you do?

  • Write about technical topics, explain complicated concepts in clear, easy-to-understand prose.

  • Document and publish system features and functionality.

  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements from various stakeholders.

  • Write and edit technical documentation for Wargaming internal projects. e.g, Wargaming Platform (core game and business services that games are required to use for distribution, commerce, and player management), WG Crowd (a cloud platform for application deployment).

  • Work both in a team and independently.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 2 years in technical writing for the IT industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in writing/communications/software engineering or a similar field

  • Full English and Russian proficiency, excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills

  • Excel at working with subject-matter experts to gather information, identify relevant data & audiences, and write documents that are clear and user friendly

  • Strong organizational skills, high sense of responsibility

  • Ability to show ideas graphically

  • Excellent eye for details

  • Analytical and system thinking

  • Teamwork skills

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Friends with Wiki Software, Version Control Systems, HTML/CSS, Markdown, MS Office

  • Good command of image editing, diagram and process modeling tools.

  • Good interviewing and listening skills

  • Passion for computer science
