Imperial Steel Makes Its Mark on Consoles

The sun may set in the west but it rises in the east, and this time it brings with it the Imperial Steel update for World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition. This new update lets tankers roll out across the level “Sacred Valley”, as well as jump into the gunner’s seat of the new Japanese Tank Tree.

Imperial Steel adds 13 new vehicles to tankers’ arsenals and will field two branches consisting of nine medium and four light tanks. The light tanks that will be at player’s disposal will be the Renault Otsu, the Ha-Go, the Ke-Ni and the Ke-Ho—all very agile vehicles with great gun depression. The medium tanks ready to roll out into the fray are the Chi-Ni, STA-1, Type 61 Chi-Ri. These mediums, again, have great gun depression and sloped armor for those lucky bounced shots. Combined with powerful weaponry and agility make the Japanese line a force to be reckoned with.

Also unveiled in Imperial Steel is the new Japanese-inspired battleground “Sacred Valley”. This stepped land, interspersed with mountain ranges and village housing offers a very dynamic landscape. A difficult map for artillery thanks to the varied terrain and obstacles, players have chance for some intense, short-range skirmishes. The high ground around the edges of the map allows for long-range gunners to wreak havoc across “Sacred Valley”, catering for any number of tactics.
