Job Overview

Wargaming is looking to bring in a Senior Data Scientist to our Business Intelligence Data Science team.

The team’s mission involves synthesizing data from multiple sources, including log files detailing player behavior, transaction data, survey responses, forum and chat interactions, and a myriad of databases. We dive deep into the data ocean to unearth patterns, trends, and hidden opportunities. By converting raw information into actionable insights, we empower a diverse range of specialists within the organization, including game designers, developers, and marketing experts, to enhance the quality of our products.

The Data Science team thrives on the dynamic nature of our projects. We handle various tasks from various teams, ensuring that each new project is an interesting challenge.

What will you do?

• Create and enhance advanced analytical models, machine learning, and statistical solutions to solve complex problems;
• Dive into state-of-the-art algorithms and deep learning models to create recommendation systems, predict user behavior, and personalize in-game content;
• Experience with Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, knowledge of AI, and hands-on modeling coding capability;
• Conduct research and hypothesis testing to come up with ideas that can improve our algorithms;
• Play a role in the development of end-to-end machine learning pipelines;
• Design and implement various tools and applications for clear and efficient communication of ML model outcomes to stakeholders;
• Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process enhancement and the technical advancement of data-driven solutions;
• Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analytics and investigations in response to key business questions;
• Effectively communicate complex models to stakeholders who may not possess a strong grasp of statistics and programming;
• Perform ongoing technology monitoring to stay abreast of advances in data science and artificial intelligence.

What are we looking for?

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field;
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related field;
• Experience and interest in formulating solutions based on abstract information;
• Specialized knowledge in predictive modeling and ML techniques;
• Experience working with big-data environments, including both structured and unstructured data, and a strong command of SQL;
• Experience in writing production-quality, scalable code using Python for building ML models with large-scale datasets;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and creative work environment;
• Excellent communication skills for conveying results and complex concepts to non-technical colleagues;
• Collaborating via Git;
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience in the online gaming industry;
• Experience with Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, and Recommendation systems;
• Experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.).

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 4000-5000 monthly gross.
