Reports To 

This role is based in Guildford and reports to the Lead Principal

What will you do?

  • Help guide and build the tech team.

  • Champion the destruction systems in the game. You'll become our in-studio destruction expert, defining and driving best practices, identifying optimization opportunities and educating feature teams on best usage.

What are we looking for?

  • Solid working knowledge of revision control systems, particularly Perforce and git.

  • Expert level knowledge of C++ with a minimum of 8 years experience in a games development environment.

  • An industry veteran with a proven track record of helping to drive games to release.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience of working with highly distributed teams.

  • Good working knowledge of current gen console platforms.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Excellent broad base of knowledge from low level assembly through general gameplay and backend systems.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4.

  • Experienced using PhysX. Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4's Chaos would be a further bonus.
