Wargaming is looking for a Technical Writer to create and support web-based documents for technical and non-technical users (user guides, API descriptions, integration guides, deployment guides, knowledge bases, etc.).

If you can explain complex stuff in simple words and want to "build bridges" between technology and its users, apply and join our team in Belgrade!

What will you do?

  • Write about technical topics, explain complicated concepts in clear, easy-to-understand prose

  • Document and publish system features and functionality

  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements from various stakeholders

  • Write and edit technical documentation for Wargaming internal projects, e.g., WG Crowd (a cloud platform for application deployment), the Platform (core game and business services that games use for distribution, commerce, and player management)

  • Make visual assets for documentation: screenshots, diagrams, video tutorials

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics or a related discipline

  • Excellent knowledge of English (C1 or С2 level) and Russian

  • Professional writing, editing, and proofreading experience

  • Ability to write in line with set standards for terminology and style

  • Outstanding analytical skills, critical thinking, strong attention to detail, and ability to explain complex processes in a simple and user-friendly manner

  • Ability to collect, structure, and visualize vast amounts of information

  • Good command of PC and Microsoft Office software

  • Fast learning abilities

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience in creating, updating, and publishing user or technical documentation (also using a Docs as Code approach)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Manual of Style, Google developer documentation style guide, and Chicago Manual of Style

  • Basic knowledge of Markdown, HTML, and CSS

  • Basic to advanced skills with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), code editors, version control systems, CLI, CI/CD tools, static site generators

Work mode

  • Hybrid (at least one day a week work from the office), we don’t consider remote collaboration from other countries
