Job Overview

Wargaming is seeking a reliability-focused systems engineer to join our global IT team. In this role, you will help ensure the availability, performance, and security of Wargaming’s internal platforms and services. You'll work closely with global engineering teams and external vendors to operate and improve core virtualization, storage, and containerized systems that power our development and business operations. 

This position offers a chance to work across a broad technology stack, from hardware to orchestration, while driving automation and modern DevOps practices. 

Please note: occasional international travel may be required.

Global Infrastructure Director

What will you do?

  • Operate and optimize internal virtualization and containerization platforms (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Plan, configure, and manage Dell and HPE server and storage systems. 
  • Deploy infrastructure components using automation tools and GitOps methodologies. 
  • Maintain systems performance and reliability across Linux and Windows environments. 
  • Implement and improve backup, observability, and monitoring systems (e.g., Veeam, Zabbix, Prometheus). 
  • Collaborate on CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., GitLab, ArgoCD). 
  • Participate in procurement planning, advising on cost-effective solutions based on business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices across all infrastructure services. 

What are we looking for?

  • Solid experience managing virtualized infrastructure (preferably VMware vSphere). 
  • Hands-on experience with Dell/HPE server hardware and storage. 
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration. 
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Familiarity with basic scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) and infrastructure automation (Ansible or similar).
  • Understanding of modern systems and network protocols. 
  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling and monitoring stacks. 
  • English proficiency at Pre-Intermediate or above.

  • Experience operating in large-scale, high-availability environments 
  • Familiarity with online service reliability, SLOs, and incident response 
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions in a fast-paced environment 

Work mode

Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 2800 - 3300 monthly gross.
