Job Overview

Wargaming is seeking an experienced Level Designer to join our team.
In this role, you will lead the full-cycle development of maps, from concept to final implementation. The ideal candidate is passionate about video games, a strong team player, and has a proven track record of creating engaging levels. Experience with game editors and level design tools is essential.

What will you do?

  • Drive full-cycle development of maps: from concept and whitebox to release
  • Initiate and participate in design discussions, reviews, and playtests
  • Design levels with a focus on gameplay balance, flow, and competitive variety
  • Analyze player feedback and Supertest results to implement improvements
  • Work closely with analytics to evaluate map performance and effectiveness
  • Support existing content with balance updates and iterative improvements
  • Collaborate on internal tools and pipeline development
  • Mentor and share expertise with other level designers

What are we looking for?

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Level Designer (preferably in online or competitive shooter projects)
  • Proven track record of developing levels from whitebox to shipped product
  • Proficiency with game editors (Unreal Engine, Unity, proprietary engines)
  • Strong grasp of game design fundamentals, gameplay loops, and balance
  • Confident in creating and maintaining documentation, and pitching ideas
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Art, Game Design, QA, and Analytics
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to evaluate the impact of design decisions
  • Constructive feedback culture and openness to collaboration
  • Interest in World of Tanks or similar PvP projects (please mention your nickname if you play WoT)

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience releasing maps or game modes in live projects
  • Familiarity with event pipelines or non-standard gameplay modes
  • A portfolio featuring playable level examples
  • Knowledge of composition, visual storytelling, and architectural principles
  • Mentorship experience or prior team leadership
  • Participation in modding, community maps, or game jams

Work mode

  • Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)
  • This role is eligible for relocation & immigration support.

 

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 5000-6000 monthly gross.
