Meet Callum Bridgmount-John, Early Careers Manager at Wargaming, who is responsible for the global recruitment and management of Early Career talent across our 15 offices and studios.
Today he will tell you more about the opportunities in Wargaming and at the end of the interview you will find links to all our open Early Career opportunities.
What kind of Early Career roles are available at Wargaming?
The Wargaming Early Career program offers a unique chance for individuals to start their professional journey in a variety of disciplines within the gaming industry, this is done through a combination of both online courses and our internship opportunities. This includes our technical disciplines such as Software Engineering, Quality Assurance and Maintenance, our artistic disciplines such as 2D Art, 3D Art and VFX, but also other disciplines such as Social Media Management, Partnership Development and Content Management, etc.
Which locations are offering opportunities this summer?
We began the summer with our Community Management internship roles in our APAC offices, and now we are accepting applications for a number of roles based in Berlin and Prague, however the gaming industry and Wargaming are very fast paced so we expect to open more opportunities throughout the year.
If you want to keep up to date with Wargaming and our opening, subscribe to our page, LinkedIn and other social media channels.
How does the mentorship process work in this program?
We want to ensure that each participant in our programs benefits from the expertise of our mentors and knows them before they start in our company, that’s why their photos and bios are published on our website, so that candidates can begin to build their relationship before they even start.
Through targeted feedback and mentorship, participants receive guidance that is specifically designed to help them excel in their roles. By focusing on personalized growth strategies, we ensure that every individual’s unique strength and area for improvement are addressed effectively.
Could you elaborate on the potential career progression?
The Wargaming Early Career Program is designed to equip you with the skills to establish a career within the gaming industry, either remaining at Wargaming after the program or opportunities with other companies. Participants not only get the opportunity to work in a fast-paced development environment but also receive hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts.
