New German Tech Tree Set for World of Warships

The German Tech Tree will soon be ready to disembark in October, letting players get behind the helm of some legendary cruisers. Those of you who will be visiting World of Warships’ zone at Wargaming’s gamescom booth can get some exclusive hands-on experience with ships like the Dresden and the Hermelin, well before their official release. Here, you can also test the might of the of Bismarck and Tirpitz battleships, seeing just how these vessels perform against other nations.

The German cruisers making waves are stalwart vessels and their endurance increase even further at higher Tiers; you’ll have to be throwing a lot of firepower at them to put a dent in their citadels. When moving up into the heavy German cruisers, captains will also find that these vessels have solid armor and overwhelming weaponry, making them great for plunging into the most dangerous and hectic battles. If that hasn’t got you itching to take the helm, you’ll be glad to know that the German line has good penetration but even better damage per minute and devastating missile velocity. These are the ships which are going to send your foes scuttling for the horizon from close-range combat.

It’s not just new vessels that have been taking World of Warships by storm. The Open Beta has seen over two million captains battle it out for naval domination, with a peak of over 100,000 players from across the world clashing for an average of 190 minutes a day in 12 furious encounters. Over the dozens of ships ready to fight, player favorites were aircraft carrier Langley, battleship Michigan, cruiser St. Louis, and destroyer Wakatake.
