World of Tanks: Roll Out Comic Is Hitting the Shelves

Comic icon Garth Ennis and a host of other legends have written and illustrated the exploits of a British tank crew in WWII.

World of Tanks: Roll Out was teased a while back, and we’re pleased to announce that the first issue will be finally available on August 31. You’ll be able to pick up the comic, in English, at your local store in North America, Australia, Western and Eastern Europe or online via Dark Horse Digital.

For those that this news may have slipped under the radar for, World of Tanks: Roll Out is the first comic inspired by World of Tanks. All the action and tension that you’re used to has been distilled onto the page, written by Garth Ennis (Preacher, War Stories, The Punisher). This historically based war tale has been illustrated by the renowned Carlos Ezquerra (Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, War Stories Vol. 2), and each issue features the cover art of Isaac Hannaford (Halo: Reach, The Punisher).

Set during the epic tank battles of 1944, World of Tanks: Roll Out follows a crew of young British tankers in post-D-Day Normandy, who push toward a battalion of seasoned German armored units. With the German military hot on their tracks, the inexperienced British tankers traverse a battle-scarred France while danger escalates and the outcome of the war hangs in the balance.

But following the exploits of this British tank crew doesn’t have to stop once you’ve finished turning the pages. The debut issue World of Tanks: Roll Out releases alongside the first in a series of in-game Premium tank bundles where you can jump in the gunner’s seat of tanks featured in the comic. The British Cromwell, known as “Snakebite”, is a Tier VI British Cromwell light tank, which comes with the Snakebite Crew Skill, improving overall accuracy. Three individual Snakebite-themed bundles will be available on August 31. You can discover these vehicles on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PlayStation®4 versions of World of Tanks.
