World of Tanks will be holding an Open Beta for PlayStation®4 owners from December 4–6. This coincides with the PlayStation® Experience weekend, which is taking place December 5 and 6 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. Those who are attending the event will have the first chance to play World of Tanks on PlayStation®4 for the first time in North America, available at Wargaming booth #1200.
For those who hop into the driver’s seat in the Beta weekend, there are a number of special goodies. Those who login during the period will receive a PlayStation® 20th anniversary exclusive M22 Locust US light tank, which as a unique grey color scheme honoring the original PlayStation®, along with a special emblem. Pre-Release bundles are also available in the PlayStation®Store, including a free T1E6-PS US Premium light tank with unique camouflage and four Founder’s Packs with special Premium tanks available for a limited time.
World of Tanks on PlayStation®4 boasts a number of features ready for console tankers. Key platform features such as complete DUALSHOCK®4 functionality, Share Play and PlayStation®Vita Remote Play, all backed by optimized controls. Two timed exclusive maps are hitting the battlefield during the Beta: “Ruinberg”, and “Scorpion Pass”, the largest World of Tanks map to date.
World of Tanks on PlayStation®4 is free to all PlayStation® accounts and does not require a PlayStation®Plus membership to play.
In the run-up to the Beta, players can also view the very first episode of Developer Diaries for PlayStation®4, showing a behind-the-scenes look at how the team brought the game to Sony’s console.
